If you desire fuller, shapely and/or larger breasts, breast augmentation surgery may be a solution. Breast Augmentation (also known as augmentation mammaplasty) is a cosmetic procedure that uses implants to shape, firm and/or enlarge your breasts.
When getting breast augmentation at Denver Face and Body you are never treated as a conventional patient, but always as an individual. For this reason, we do not charge for follow-up visits to ensure that you have the individual attention and care you need for your individual body. Our post procedure care is unparalleled.
If the following pertains to you, breast augmentation at Denver Face and Body may be a good solution:
- Self-conscious because your breasts are too small or unshapely
- Your breasts have changed shape because of weight loss or other factors
- Your breasts have lost their firmness and shape after child birth
- Swim suits that fit your bottom don't fit your top, disproportionate measurements
- One breast is smaller than the other
Because breast augmentation is a surgical procedure, the following are requirements for breast enhancement in Denver:
- Your breast development must be complete
- The psychological, or motivating factors for breast augmentation must be understood by you
- Understanding that breast augmentation will not bring perfection, but improvement
- Annual follow-up visits must be made and must adhere to the American Cancer Society guidelines
We will provide more information about these requirements during your initial consultation.

What happens during your initial consultation for breast implants in Denver?
The overall goal during your initial consultation at Denver Face and Body is education; you will be educated on what breast augmentation entails, how it is performed and we will answer all of your questions and address any concerns. We also get educated; during the consultation we will learn about you, your likes and dislikes and what your goals are.
The size of breast implant is your choice. To help you in making a size decision, you will try on a bra with different sized implants during your initial consultation to see how you look with the different size and shape options available to you.
Also as part of your consultation, we will examine and photograph your breasts for your medical record. Our surgeon will consider the risks and benefits of breast augmentation to you and will take into consideration your current breast size and shape, including the nipples and areolas (the pigmented skin surrounding the nipples).
How is breast augmentation in Denver performed?
There are many different techniques and procedures depending on your desired result. There are three insertion locations for implants: within the armpit, around the bottom "ring" of the areola and within the natural underside crease of the breast. Implants rest either just behind the breast tissue or below the breast tissue and above the chest wall under the pectoral muscle.

Your Denver Face and Body surgeon will review each option during your initial consultation.
Are implants safe?
We use every safety precaution for breast augmentation at Denver Face
and Body. Women over 22 years of age can choose between saline-filled
and the new FDA approved silicone cohesive gel implants. The
saline-filled, silicone rubber shelled implant is filled with sterilized
salt water. In the unlikely case of leaking, the salt water is
harmlessly absorbed by the body. The silicone cohesive gel implant
features a cohesive, gelatin-like substance that acts as a solid rather
than a liquid. If there is a leak or rupture of the implant, the
MemoryGel(tm) binds to itself reducing the chance of the silicone
spreading beyond the implant.
Our surgery centers meet the rigorous requirements for JCAHO
accreditation (Joint Commission Accreditation of Healthcare
Organizations). JCAHO accreditation is associated with superior risk
management, and is the same regulating body that oversees all major
hospitals, both in Denver and nationally.
By choosing Dr. Goldstein, an experienced veteran surgeon, and by having
your procedure performed in a JCAHO accredited facility, you can be sure
you will receive great results without having to worry about your
safety.
We have materials and information available on implant surgery, research
and safety, and will be happy to provide it to you during your initial
consultation.
What type of breast implant does Denver Face and Body use?
Dr. Goldstein offers both saline-filled implants and the new FDA
approved cohesive silicone gel implants. Because each individual is
different, we may want to perform a Mastopexy, or breast lift along with
the implant. All of your options, as well as our professional
recommendations will be discussed during your initial consultation.
Saline-filled breast implants
The smooth, round saline implant is a popular choice among breast
augmentation patients because it is safe and it produces high-quality
results. The saline implant is filled with sterilized salt water. On
the off chance that a leak does occur, the salt water will be harmlessly
absorbed by the body.
Saline implants do have advantages over silicone implants. Saline
implant ruptures are easier to detect than silicone ruptures. When a
saline implant ruptures, it deflates, allowing the rupture to be
detected almost immediately. On the other hand, when a silicone implant
ruptures, the breast will look and feel the same, as the silicone
implant was designed to bind to itself and remain in a semi-solid state,
causing the rupture to be more difficult to visibly detect.
Dr. Goldstein offers free consultation for breast augmentation, and will
provide professional recommendations as to which implant is best for
you. To discuss your breast implant options, schedule your free

Silicone cohesive gel implants
Women over the age of 22 may choose the new FDA approved silicone
cohesive gel implants. These gelatin-like pieces act as a solid rather
than a liquid.
Silicone implants do have advantages over saline implants. The silicone
implant creates a breast that is considered softer and more natural
feeling, and is said to maintain its shape and upright position. The
durability looks incredibly promising as well. In addition, if there is
a leak or rupture of the implant, the MemoryGel(tm) binds to itself,
reducing the chance that the silicone will spread beyond the implant.
The choice between silicone and saline is ultimately up to the
individual client. For more information on breast implants and which
option is best for you, schedule your consultation now.
