Behind the hairline, incisions are made and excess fat from the face and neck is removed and the muscles are tightened. Then, the skin is pulled tight across the face and neck. The excess skin is then removed. (See illustrations)
What Can I Expect for Recovery?
The full recovery and improvement of results from facial plastic surgery usually takes 2-4 weeks. Moderate activity should not be done within the first two weeks of recovery. Swelling and bruising is normal and will subside after two or three weeks.
