Aging and sun exposure can leave your skin looking dull. The Vitalize Peel® can restore a youthful glow by gently exfoliating the skin. Located in Lone Tree, Emmett Plastic Surgery, led by Dr. Jennifer Emmett, board-certified by the American Board of Surgery, has helped Denver and Centennial area residents rejuvenate their skin with a Vitalize Peel®.
What is a Vitalize Peel®?
The Vitalize Peel® is the most popular SkinMedica® peel because it is suitable for all skin types. The peel contains a proprietary blend of peeling agents, including alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA), beta-hydroxy acid, resorcinol and retinoic acid. Together these agents help improve the texture and tone of your skin. The Vitalize Peel® gently exfoliates the skin leaving it healthier and younger looking.
Benefits of a Vitalize Peel®
The Vitalize Peel® corrects skin imperfections that result from aging and sun exposure. Many patients choose the Vitalize Peel® because of its many benefits including:
- Improving skin color and texture
- Giving the skin a natural and radiant glow
- Tightening pores and improves acne scarring
- Suitable for all skin types
- Minimal downtime and discomfort
Is a Vitalize Peel® Right For Me?
If you suffer from mild-to-moderate skin imperfections, such as lines and wrinkles and uneven skin tone and texture, a Vitalize Peel® may be right for you. During your consultation, Dr. Emmett will assess your skin and recommend the best peel for you.
How is a Vitalize Peel® Applied?
The Vitalize Peel® is a light chemical peel and only takes about 20 minutes to apply. First your skin is cleansed, and then the peel is evenly applied to your skin using a soft brush or applicator. You may experience a warm, tingling sensation as the solution is being applied.
What Can I Expect After a Vitalize Peel®?
You may experience a moderate amount of redness following a Vitalize Peel®. You may also experience some peeling a few days after treatment. A Vitalize Peel® does not require any downtime so you can return to your normal activities immediately. You will notice an improvement shortly after your first Vitalize Peel®. However, for best results a series of treatments is recommended. After your peel, you should protect your skin from sun exposure, as it will be sensitive. Make sure to use a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher.
How Much Does a Vitalize Peel® Cost?
A Vitalize Peel® is considered an elective cosmetic treatment so many insurances will not cover the cost. Dr. Emmett offers financing through CareCredit®, Simmons Bank, and Prosper® Healthcare Lending. We also accept cash, personal checks, and credit cards.
