Home Breast Augmentation From Consultation to Recovery: How Our Hands-On Team Supports Your Breast Augmentation Journey

March 29, 2025

Breast augmentation can be a natural, empowering way to enhance your figure, boost body confidence, and achieve your personal goals. At Emmett Plastic Surgery, achieving an ideal outcome starts with a supportive, patient-centered experience. Our dedicated team is committed to prioritizing your safety, comfort, education, and care at every stage, from your initial consultation to your recovery and long-term follow-up.

What to Expect During Your Consultation

Your journey begins with a personalized consultation with Dr. Jennifer Emmett. During this visit, you can share your goals, review your medical history, and explore the best implant options for your body and lifestyle.

You’ll also be able to try on a sizing bra, giving you a tangible sense of how different implant sizes will complement your figure.

Dr. Emmett is double board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. With over 20 years of experience and advanced training in breast and aesthetic surgery, she offers exceptional skill, a meticulous eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering natural-looking results.

Choosing the Right Implant Type for You

Understanding your implant options can help you feel more confident and empowered in your decision-making. During your consultation, Dr. Emmett will explain the key differences between saline and silicone implants:

  • Saline Implants: Filled with sterile saltwater during surgery. In the rare case of a leak, the body naturally absorbs the saline.
  • Silicone Implants: A cohesive gel that closely mimics breast tissue’s natural look and feel. These implants retain their shape even if a rupture occurs.

We will carefully guide you through the selection process, taking into account your body type, aesthetic preferences, and long-term goals.

The Day of Surgery and Your Early Recovery

On surgery day, you’ll meet with our patient care team again to review any final questions. Dr. Emmett uses refined, minimally invasive techniques to place the implants through small, discreet incisions. Depending on your surgical plan, incisions may be made around the nipple, under the breast, or through the armpit.

Dr. Emmett uses a combination of local anesthesia and IV sedation to help ensure a comfortable experience and start to your recovery.

After your procedure, you’ll receive clear, personalized aftercare instructions to support optimal healing. Most patients are able to return to work or school within two to three days, though more strenuous activities should be avoided for several weeks.

We are easily accessible through phone support and in-person follow-ups to help guide your recovery every step of the way.
